In September 2011 I had the privilege of visiting Alpbach in the Tyrol region of Austria for the third time. As part of a charity challenge The ’3 Peak Alpine Challenge’ team we raised £4,500 for Vision4Kids.

As well as being a walkers paradise the Alpbachtal region  is also a photographers paradise. From the hotel we could see our highest challenge ‘The Grosser Galtenberg’ over the top of the swimming pool, which would be the second peak we would climb. As it turned out it was a marathon day with 9 hours 15 minutes ascent and descent and the pool was a welcome sight on our return.
