Austria 2000

My First trip to Alpbach in Austria was with the Photographer Alan Simpson. From memory it was April and the first thing I remember was the smell of clean fresh air with a hint of pine.

Everywhere you  looked there were astounding views but unfortunately I had only a  cheap 35mm camera and my photo’s were nothing like Alan’s

The weather was mixed with some cloud and mist in the mornings and much brighter in the afternoons

I was amazed at the number of routes, the number of way-marks and the easy to use maps for the region. Looking back I’m also amazed at slenderer tones then!
